Details:
Date: October 14, 2009
Time: 12:30 - 2:30pm
CPE: 2 Credits (100 min of class time)
Level: Basic
This course, designed for senior corporate executives and CPAs, will discuss, in rapid-fire format, three powerful strategies that can significantly improve cash flow, resulting in greater profits.
The presentation begins with a discussion about the opportunities and risks associated with renegotiating leases for various types of occupied corporate real estate. This portion of the presentation will also introduce 10 additional methods of extracting hidden liquidity, identifying and reducing risk, and creating greater flexibility through paper transactions, without relocating.
Part two is a discussion on cost segregation, a powerful tax planning strategy used to accelerate depreciation on buildings and tenant improvements. Attendees will learn about the tremendous benefits associated with cost segregation, where it can be applied, and why an engineering-based study is so important to the IRS.
Finally, the business incentives section will provide an overview of statutory and discretionary tax credits and incentives that are available from both the federal and state government. Attendees will learn how to identify key triggers that produce tax savings through business activities they perform every day: hiring new employees, expanding or downsizing facility locations, making capital investments, and training new and incumbent workers.
